dedicated athletes from all around Ireland, team members have each consistently
showcased skill and passion for the sport at both national and international stages
with their clubs. Undertaking rigorous training in preparation for the upcoming
World Cup, both as a team, twice a month for over twelve months, each of the players
has also partaken in their own tag rugby club training each week, making them a
force to be reckoned with.
Team Captain, Tena Thornton, said: “We are very grateful and acknowledge the
support from Opel Ireland as we look ahead to competing on the world stage, from
Limerick. Tag rugby is a growing phenomenon that is attracting more and more
women and this tournament is sure to raise the sport’s profile even further.”
