Alfa-Romeo welcomes hybrid Ibrida to Junior family

Ibrida – a new name to add to your motoring lexicon, a new Alfa Romeo to tempt the 
euros out of your pocket and into your car-space will open its order book later this 
month. Prices for the Ibrida, a hybrid version of the Alfa Romeo Junior, have been 
announced for the Irish Market, with the base price matching that of the Junior 
Electric version, which was officially launched in Ireland last month.  Prices for the 
Junior Ibrida in Ireland will start at €34,995 which is the same price as the fully 
electric “Elettrica” version.  
The Junior is available in full electric 156hp or 280hp electric powertrains, with the 
introduction of the Ibrida and Ibrida Q4 completing the launch of the Junior model, 
now available in 38 countries, with 30,000 orders already placed worldwide, 19% of 
which were in the full-electric configuration. 
Junior Speciale Ibrida 
The new Junior Speciale Ibrida offers a 136-hp 48-V Hybrid VGT (Variable- 
Geometry Turbo) powertrain. The electrical component consists of a 48-volt lithium- 
ion battery and a 21-kW electric motor built into the 6-speed dual-clutch gearbox, 
which works together with the inverter and transmission control unit to ensure 
maximum efficiency.  
Junior Ibrida seeks to offer an extremely smooth driving experience to move around 
urban areas in electric mode more than 50% of the time. Electric driving is possible 
during parking manoeuvres or at low speeds and also out of town with a limited load 
at up to 150 km/h.

Ibrida interior features:

 Eight-colour ambient lighting marking out the air vents, central tunnel 
 10.25-inch configurable 
 Cannocchiale instrument cluster 
 10.25-inch driver oriented central screen with Apple Car Play and Android 
Auto 
 60/40 folding rear seats.  
Safety systems on the Ibrida include: 
 Adaptive Cruise Control 
 Automatic Emergency Braking 
 e-Call and Alfa Romeo Connected Services. 
 

Junior Ibrida Q4 system. 
 
Alfa Romeo has also released details of the Junior Ibrida Q4 system. This all-wheel 
drive version of Junior offers enhanced control and high performance in all 
conditions without compromising on weight and efficiency.  The 48-V hybrid system 
pairs a 1.2-litre turbocharged engine with two electric motors, for a combined output 
of 145 hp.  The Junior Ibrida Q4 is also equipped with MultiLink rear suspension, for 
superior comfort and driving pleasure. 
 
Availability and prices for the Q4 version in Ireland will be released later this year.
